New Service Available: Curbside Household Hazardous Waste Collection!

Residents can now sign up for convenient Curbside Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection provided through HHW Solutions, a Best Trash company.

If you have unwanted chemicals, old paint, batteries, or pool supplies cluttering up your garage or home, you no longer need to haul them away yourself—HHW Solutions will pick them up directly from your curb.

How It Works

  1. Schedule Your Pickup: Visithttps://hhwsolutions.com hhwsolutions.com to view the next collection day for our community and schedule your pickup online.

  2. Prepare Your Items: Safely package your items according to the handling guidelines (see below).

  3. Set Out for Collection: Place your items at the curb by 7:00 AM on your scheduled collection day.

What Can Be Collected?

  • Household & Personal Care: Cleaners, aerosols, adhesives, drain openers, pest control, solvents, nail polish remover, peroxides, rubbing alcohol.

  • Paint & Stains: Paint, stains, and solvents (Min 1 gal, Max 4 gals).

  • Yard, Pool & Spa Care: Fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, poisons, pool/spa chemicals, and cleaners (Min 1 gal, Max 4 gals).

  • Automotive: Motor oil, antifreeze, diesel, gasoline, waxes, cleaners, and polishes (Min 1 gal, Max 8 gals).

  • Batteries: Auto/Marine lead-acid, rechargeable (Ni-Cd, Li-Ion, Ni-MH, Lithium) (Min 1, Max 20). Note: Single-use alkaline batteries (AA, C, D) can be thrown in your regular trash.

  • Mercury Lamps & Devices: CFLs, fluorescent tubes, mercury thermometers, and thermostats (Min 1, Max 8).

  • Tanks & Fire Safety: Propane tanks (30 lbs or less, limit 2), helium tanks (20 lbs or less), and fire extinguishers.

  • Other: Ammunition, fireworks, and flares.

⚠️ Important Safety & Handling Guidelines

  • Keep Original Containers: Keep products in their original containers with labels intact when possible. If the original label is missing, label the item yourself if you are certain of its contents.

  • Do NOT Mix Chemicals: Keep items separated; mixing chemicals together can cause dangerous reactions or fires. Do not place all chemicals together in a single trash bag.

  • Handle Leaks: If a chemical container is leaking, secure it inside a secondary leak-proof container or clear plastic bag.
